Friends of the Somé・Seiryukan

We have established the Friends of the Somé・Seiryukan for lovers of dyeing and dye works. We hope that this society will further mutual exchange between members, and develop into a society of friends that will harmoniously promote abroad the cause of Kyoto as the jewel in the crown of the dye world as well as disseminating the art of dye. We earnestly request your kind support to further these aims. Anyone wishing to become a Friend of the Somé・Seiryukan should please fill in the form supplied at the gallery, place it in the accompanying envelope, and send to us. We also welcome non-Japanese speakers as Friends. However, we must apologize that our publications, lectures etc. are at present available in Japanese only. Anyone wishing to join from overseas please contact us by email.

  • A member's card will be issued to all members. Entry into the museum and gallery is free on presentation of this card.
  • Members will also be sent the quarterly SOME magazine.
  • Members will also be given preferential treatment for attendance at any study groups, lectures or other events held at the Somé・Seiryukan.
